For the first time in history, the birthplace of Pablo Picasso is opening beyond Europe: a second Museo Casa Natal Picasso, here in Round Rock, Texas. Not a travelling show that arrives and leaves, but a permanent institution, original works and a world-class collection under the same roof as a STEAM education movement that will reach tens of thousands of children.

I believe art is the most powerful door we have into science, curiosity and imagination, and that a child in Texas deserves that door as much as a child in Málaga. Through the Picasso STEAM Challenge, this museum becomes a bridge between the classrooms of Texas and the education systems of Spain, the United States and beyond.

That is why I am quietly inviting a small circle of Founding Partners to shape this institution from its very first day: naming rights, a place in its identity and programming, and a permanent role in the story of how Picasso came to America.
